The link between the Langhe region and the Nebbiolo grapes, which cannot be grown the same elsewhere in the world with the same results, has long characterized the history of winemaking and viticulture in Italy. To understand the compatibility of the soil and wines, we shall start from Barolo and Barbaresco, two wines conceived but a few miles away from each other using the same Nebbiolo grapes.
The result is a glass of wine in which the peculiarities of this land are told at their best. We will lead you through the many producers and trattoria, the typical restaurants of the Langhe, where the fully body of these wines are enhanced when they are accompanied by the traditional cuisine. The framework of this trip will be the city of Alba and, obviously, the winemaking landscapes of the Langhe.
