Torino, Turin
This Roman town was the first capital of Italy and for a long time the headquarters of the Royal Savoy family and their residences. Turin is a unique city, rich in history and charm, home to many UNESCO sites. It is characterised by its self-evident noble and aristocratic identity which came to shape during its most prosperous era. Piedmont’s capital stands out for its elegance and sophistication, it is constantly transforming and renewing its artistic and cultural scenes, and its urban setting. Full of museums and monuments, home to international events, and continuous gourmet activity, Turin has found its place amongst the list of the most interesting Italian destinations for both mainstream and alternative trips, it has something for everyone!
Piemonte, Piedmont
Piedmont is lucky to have its geographic location: the hills, plains and mountains are equally distributed, and the Ligurian Riviera and the Cinque Terre are within reach for day trips. Just outside of Turin, heading south, find the roads leading through the famous hills of Roero and Langhe (stages included in this FAM as day tours) with their views of vineyards and castles. Wine Regions and cuisine, greenery and history, this territory preserves the most authentic and genuine Piedmontese identity. North of the capital, towards Switzerland, the mountains are reflected in the setting of Lake D’Orta and Lake Maggiore, creating a timeless atmosphere: the tranquillity and relaxation, even during periods tourist high season! The whole region is surrounded by the Alps, a natural border and ideal for those who love winter sports and walking outdoors.

- Tips
Top quality food and wine made in Piedmont are the main ingredients of the tours proposed by Jo-In, designed to offer in-depth knowledge through activities and experiences everybody can enjoy. Taking part in one of the many Jo-In activities means to establish a direct link with the people met during the journey, their stories, and the heart of the places visited. Experience the local scents and tastes through unusual and original itineraries like hunting for truffles in the woods, or learning how to make cheese in a small, yet wonderful valley in Piedmont. Gaze at the magnificent Langhe landscapes and taste our precious wines. We organize trips which can last a few days or several weeks and are typically aimed at individuals or small groups, but we can also provide single activities; the itineraries cover some of the most intriguing areas of Piedmont and overnight stays are usually planned in unconventional venues. Everything can be changed and adjusted to suit your needs, everything but the originality and the quality of the activities offered.
