Whether you have met him inside the fascinating pages of Umberto Eco or amazed by @sir_sean_connery 's acting, William of Baskerville cannot be forgotten. Where does his story take us? Which paths does the Franciscan friar follow?
The famous author of the novel, #UmbertoEco, is from Piedmont and he sets the story in the Benedictine monastery of his land. William walks along the ancient pilgrim road called Via Francigena which connected Europe to Rome, passing through Piedmont. The Sacra of San Michele must have been an obvious inspiration for the author!
In reality, the film was not shot inside the monastery but the scenes of ancient stones, the steps of The Deads’ Staircase, and its huge library surely immerse the viewer in the novel’s atmosphere.
All year round, under rain or snow, with sunshine or clouds, the @sacradisanmichele emanates the strength and the resilience of that men who, moved by faith in God, were capable of incredible endeavours.

The first experiments date back to Louis XIV but in the French court but were not very successful.
In 1725 the widow Giambone, owner of a shop in via Roma in Torino, was the first to have the idea of filling the empty shells of chicken eggs with melted chocolate.
At the beginning of the 20th century, Casa Sartorio patented a system for modeling empty shapes and a few years later they also started to decorate and fill the eggs with the famous surprise!🐇😀
