Imagine! A private “off the main road” tour of northern Italy and the Lakes featuring locations and activities that the general tourist would never find:  a small olive oil factory in a restored 15th century mill on Lake Como, or truffle hunting in the countryside with a certified”Trifolao” and his dogs, pizza class in the gorgeous B&B, market day in Alba,  Vermouth making in Turin, not to mention all of the specially arranged gourmet meals in historic inns and restaurants. Our local guides were more like beloved hosts than tour guides–charming, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic–eager to share their beautiful country and its hidden charms with us.  I look forward to experiencing Italy through their eyes again!
